Dustin’s Doves aims to provide a memorable ceremony to make your day special. White doves have long represented the spirits of men and women as well as peace and purity. The grace and elegance of a white dove release may be the perfect way to represent your loved one as they pass on from this life, or to symbolize the holy bond between husband and wife. Unfortunately as white dove release utilizes live birds, there are a few risks involved.
The white homing pigeons used by Dustin’s Doves are trained to return to their loft at Dustin’s home. During good weather conditions they will return home unharmed and with little effort. Those doves will go on to do many releases before being retired after a few years. However poor weather conditions may cause the birds to have a difficult time returning home, or prevent it entirely. For this reason Dustin’s Doves will not release white doves if the weather threatens the safety, and the homing ability of the birds. Poor weather includes but is not limited to rain, extreme heat, and extreme winds.
Dustin's Doves requires a $50 deposit to book. The $50 deposit is not an additional cost. Exp: if your release costs $150 you will need to pay $50 to book, and $100 after the ceremony. Your $50 deposit will only be refunded if Dustin’s Doves must cancel your White Dove Release prior to the day of your ceremony. If you cancel after booking your deposit will not be refunded. If the weather forecast for the day of your ceremony looks poor you may be advised by Dustin’s Doves that the safety of the doves may be compromised, in which case you may choose to cancel your White Dove Release. However no matter the weather conditions, Dustin’s Doves will come to your ceremony as previously agreed upon and attempt to provide you with a flawless service. If weather conditions turn out to be good, or clear up long enough to release the doves, they will be released. However if the weather is poor, and does not improve during your ceremony, Dustin’s Doves withholds the right not to release any birds in order to avoid risking their safety.
Dustin’s Doves will not release any birds later than an hour before sunset. The birds can not find their way home in the dark, and because of this Dustin’s Doves will not perform white dove release ceremonies, later than an hour before sunset. Dustin’s doves will agree to perform ceremonies that are late in the day and more than an hour before sunset but if your ceremony is delayed causing the white dove release to be less than an hour before sunset, Dustin’s Doves may refuse to release the doves.
Dustin's Doves apologizes for any inconvenience that may occur because of these risks, but the safety of the doves is our highest priority.
